I clicked on WikiCamps and up came the new version. The only thing wrong is that the town names don`t appear until the map is pulled up bigger.
A hell lot better than the older version.

If you are away from wifi, maybe wait before downloading V3 of Wikicamps. The first task is to download replacement offline maps and it chews data. It also pays to use a user account to sync your trips etc and not just on your device.

We got the new update automatically.
We prefer the old regime, there was nothing wrong with it.

So do we. The new user interface is rubbish. It looks like a solution to a problem that didn't exist.
I wonder if these same people would go out and replace the engine in their car even though it's working perfectly.

Olive Oil and markf. There were known issues with aspects of the previous version. You may not have encountered them but fixes were commonly requested by users on the app's chat forum and this new version goes a long way to addressing them. Concentrate on the similarities, explore the new features and ignore the visual differences. It will grow on you just as the previous version did.

I'm between trips and have had constant internet for a while Dougwe, so participated in the beta testing group. I've forgotten how the older version appears.

My phone updated immediately. Tablet, I had to force the update.
For those who don't like change. Think back to when you first changed from Camps Book to Wiki.... It was not that hard. Stick with it, it does not take long to forget the previous version.

5 year old smart phone and can't get the app anymore in the playstore. They told me I'm a dinosaur with an antique phone. Old one worked fine for me.

After reading the comments, I think we will stick with the old version.
Works well for us.
Doubt that there would be many if any changes to camp sites etc./

It's probable that older versions will just stop operating. There are no issues that can't be resolved, apart from attitude to change.

I've just managed to update the app, reset my password, verify my email & actually log on - it took hours but eventually got it done. Everything to do with this new version seems to take forever. I've had notices saying bad requests & time out on trying to get the app working again.
Have just signed in & have lost all my previous trips & the current one I'm on so I'm not happy about that.

My Win10 WikiCamps had a blank screen for 15 minutes before anything started. There are long delays in the update. Eventually it all comes together. Be patient and wait for all the updates. May take several hours.

I can get to the forum, just once after 22.34.45 minutes, but if I want to go to a particular room, I get the message un able to connect, and to tap here to reconnect, but it then freezes the screen, then I have to start all over again, so yep, have decided to give them more time to fix it properly, will comeback in 3 months time, maybe they would have worked it out by then hopefully, but I am not holding my breath, that they are competent enough to get it to work on all the different computer operating systems in that time.

Just once I decided to do what you said, waited until just now. Why, oh why did i go back to that trainwreck, so now will wait 3 months, unless they can refund me my 3 times I have rebought it over the last 2 years due to glitches, and if they do that I won't be dumb enough to be roped in again.

I have signed off from them too. Has some good reports about them, paid my fee, had a devil of a time loading it, then at second visit couldn't get access.
They know what they can do with it. More than one way to skin a cat.

I'm currently doing a 2 month house sit in NSW and have access to the house NBN. I connect via the owners Wifi modem so took advantage to do the updates. First time on both mobile phone, my main use of Wiki and the Laptop I gave up. Tried again yesterday and both went Ok. Both do everything I use them for. Laptop seems a little slow to open Wiki but might be the Laptop. Like me, it's getting older.
Keep Safe out the all.

Android and Win10 apps have been updated with "Trip Planner", "Site Reviews" & "Site Photos" all ok. Still no update to "Saved Filter Sets", which is a nuisance at the moment.

Most of my trips are back up. Still a few missing ones but in sure after another week or so, they will all be working properly.
All of my filters are now showing again
It was a reminder to me to back up everything to several several places , like I do with other data
I fell into the trap of heavily relying on it.
I use it almost daily

I loaded it onto my No 2 laptop and paid the fee. Then the next time I went to it, Buckleys chance of getting it to open even. I might have another go soon and contact them if still no success but it seems to be a troublesome application? I have a similar problem with GA golf application and it took me 12 hours to load up some software this week after a UK mob took over the company I was using.
I hate technology, but it is a necessary animal.
Still getting used to the lane recognition on my new ute and some of the new fangled applications with it. I keep saying take me back to 01/01/1970 and leave me there.....
how is everyone finding the new WikiCamps?
What is this about a new Wikicamp??
Also how do I get an update???
thanks
Jay&Dee
