Having difficulties lifting my poptop on 2014 Jurgens Wallaroo. Anyone have experience with newer lift bars or the air jack systems..? or any other advice for a DIY solution preferably.

Hi. When I put a 200w solar panel on the roof of my pop top I found it much harder to lift up. My solution was to replace the gas struts to a heavier Nm rating. Cheap fix in the long run. Col

Are you keeping the door open while you lift it?
If the door & windows are shut it creates a vacuum which makes it twice as hard to lift the roof.

Hi Mindi, I stand on the step and unroll the awning a few turns prior to the lift. I have 6 panel on the thing and manage no worries. I am 73.
But I have no health problems. I have read good things regarding the air bag support system but not sure on its longevity.

Thanks to all for your help. Problem solved. The Jurgens Youtube clip called "Jurgens Poptop" shows their new Easy Up/Easy Down mechanism which they will supply as a kit for about $250 or fit for you for an additional $160. That's my preferred way forward.
