we have done a lot of travelling it is about time to stop, looking for somewhere where it is not too cold in the winter, cant think of anywhere ourselves

We recently moved from Tamworth to just near Forster. Today my old friends are lighting their wood heaters. I spent the day in a summer dress with all my doors open. Winning.

What's wrong with "Paradise"? That is Townsville or anywhere else in North Qld!
The reason why we have nice hot, sweaty, humid weather in the "Wet" season is to limit the population, keeping all the Southerners where they rightly belong - "Down South"!

It got rather cool this morning, along with a strong westerly wind. According to the ABC News, Townsville's minimum was 18 this morning with 13 tomorrow (better than the 10 they predicted a few days ago). For me it was "long sleeves" day!

And many were under water a few months ago. Besides, the tropics do have their negatives imo.

Bundaberg because of its situated from the tropics, small variations with temperature all year round.
Would I live there, no because famamily is further south from my home town of Brisbane where we are comfortable.

Not my idea of a nice climate,but nowhere near as bad as Stanthorpe,which seems to be 3 to 6 degrees colder.

Bargara or Elliot Heads on the coast from Bundaberg are hard to beat in winter. However you would probably need to move south of the border for summer. Corindi just north of Coffs Harbour is good.

Fair enough Yobarr and Nevd, obviously when we were in Texas the weather was nice, bit cool overnight and that was July. but we did drive on to Stanthorpe where it was definitely colder. I'll keep reading the recommendations as next winter we plan to spend every winter thereon in a warmer climate.

My suggestion would be RV Homebase in Maryborough Qld, thit is a purpose built Village with enclosed Rv Storage as part of the building. Well worth considering.

Give me Port Douglas in winter, I live there for around 5 months in winter and then go south to my home in NSW...PERFECT!!!

.. I stopped travelling about 4 years ago in Boomi, northern NSW .. Temperature range = 0 to 50 C .. pleasantly isolated .. peace and quiet with excellent artesian hot/cold pools complex.
It suits me fine but probably too cold for you ..
