Planning to do some back roads on our way to Darwin and looking through my camps book on the road north from Barcaldine there are some camps listed with
" E Permit required". I googled away and could find nothing that seemed to fit. Any wise souls out there can enlighten me?

Some Camping permits can be downloaded and paid for electronically - For entry into Aboriginal Lands and National Parks.

As well as the above, some stock routes require permits for camping (if they even allow camping) but I don't not if this applies in Qld and NT. General information is hit and miss on the web and much is outdated. Probably best to look at each possible campsite in detail before you lose internet. Certainly internet in Qld NP is dodgy when there is no ranger base or presence.

Seems those camp sites are in national Parks a bit off the road. I know the road and last time there we didn't see any other vehicle thanks Guys
