Have been on the road for 2 mths and have a problem with the caravan wiring. all was OK and only started half way through the trip.
The TV goes off if I turn any led lights on, it is the same if Iam on 240 volts and 12 vlt.
All lights are 12 vlt and TV is run on 12vlt.
Would anyone have an idea what is going on.
Checked the battery, OK and the 12 vlt transformer OK
TV has amplifier and it is ok
Only way to watch TV is by candlelight, very romantic but not practical. CHEERS

You most probably have wiring that is not suitable for the current draw in the system. Need to have it checked by a auto electrician wiring of incorrect amperage most common cause of caravan fires.

Are lights on same circuit ? Being 12v the wire size is critical !! Dreaded VD !

Do you actually have a good connection on the battery & no corrosion, it doesn't take much to be an issue.
Voltage on battery while everything is off, & while TV is on? Voltage at TV end?
& while being charged & not being charged!

Hi Waterman, I had a similar problem to yours. I had one led light that would interfere with the tv signal if it was a bit weak, the five other led's did not interfere with the signal that were the same, nor did the other 5 led lights or the fluro light inside the van. I just didn't use that light when it played up with the tv signal. If the signal was strong it was no problem I would check your aerial connections on the aerial mast itself as I have had them come loose with winding up and down causing poor signal.
You could also try a different bulb. There is something in the construction of some leds that cause this.
Hope this helps.

If you have a booster on you aerial might be worth checking the voltage there ass well and that it is actually still turned on.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
Went to Jaycee and bought a TV aerial as I wanted to separate TV from 12vlt system.
Still same problem.
Must be a voltage drop !!.
Will have to have it checked by Auto electrical. Cheers.

Hi waterman
I did have the same sort of problem, when (going through the Jayco Setic), the LED lights, on the same wire, as the TV and aerial amplifier were all switched on
The TV would go off, and then come on again, etc
I put it down to my single 100 Amp Hour GEL battery failing, and not putting enough volts/amps for the load on that wire
Had no more problems after fitting 2 X 120 Amp Hour AGM batteries
It would be good if you could come back when the problem is fixed, so that others will know what to look for

Have separated the aerial and run with another aerial, same, bought a 240 vlt to 12 vlt transformer to isolate from caravan.
Same problem. Turn on lights and TV signal drops, !!! Only thing common now is the neutral and earth , will have to wait till I get home. Very frustrating
cheers
