Hi There,
We have been travelling for about 18 months in our motorhome with our two Jack Russells & done 7 house sits totalling 27 weeks.
We have looked after many dogs & cats as well as horses, cows & chickens and found it to be in all, a good experience.
For anyone contemplating taking on house sitting with their own pets I could offer a couple of tips, be sure to ask plenty of questions regarding compatibility of animals, ask for photos of house/property if none are supplied in advert, decide on whether you want to stay in their house or in your own accommodation and be sure to have a back up plan that both parties agree too if you have to leave in the advent of a emergency ie, fire or flood.
There are financial benefits as well, no CP fees or other accomodation fees when on a house sit as well as fuel savings which is good for the budget. And I should mention, you get to meet some interesting people and their animals.

Hi. I've been travelling since 2011 with hubby and the hound, and housesitting since 2015. I'm with AussieHousesitters. I think the last sit was #24.. I just filter the search to only show places that allow pets and have space for a caravan. There's plenty around. Once you've got a few references it's not difficult to find a suitable sit.
