Were planning a first trip from Melbourne to SA in our recently bought, used, 20ft Van in late April. Being newbies we intend to stay at a CP while we get to know our van. We would welcome suggestions for CPs around Victor Harbour/Goolwa area.
thanks in advance

Rapid bay is a nice stop but be perpared for dusty camp sites, the area is as dry as a bone. We have just completed the all the south coast and not seen a drop of rain. Second valley CP is ok very run down but has a great beach and peir down the road.

Get a copy of Wikicamps on your device, listing all campsites (free and low cost). www.wikicamps.com.au/

We just spent last night in Normanville Jetty Van Park, very nice. Has to have the best Camp Kitchen I have seen.
Were moving on ton Rapid Bay this morning so can check on Gonfishens report. Hopefully a few days there if the wind stays down and the squid are accomodating.

We are in Rapid Bay now and there is green grass, so, after 3 weeks in dry, dusty places around SA we were thrilled. Came to have a look and going to stay for a week. Expensive at $9 per person per night but looks lovely.
