Doesn't surprise me if they have gone down the gurgler, dogbox.
I say that because when I had my Avan I got it from there and their pre pick up check and after sales service was non existent and to the point were very rude. At the time anyway. That was my experience.
I did have a lot of good times in my Avan though.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Interesting how different rumours get around. According to another source, it is not Avan, but Jurgens that is in trouble.

I dislike Avan as a company with a passion, from my personal treatment by both the company and the dealer I bought from. But i reckon that line of thought is far removed from position of unsubstantiated rumors of a company's demise.
No one deserves that.
I ask the folks that can, to remove the Op's comments please.

I agree....unsubstantiated comments on a public forum can be harmful.

Yep the whole title of the post ought to be changed to Jurgens as well.
This seems to be a bad thing all around. I just found this info.
Around 50 staff showed up to work on the Monday morning, only to be turned away at the gate.
We were given no heads up, production supervisor Matt Bright said.
An employee, who wished to have their name withheld, said Jurgens South African parent company Imperial Holdings Ltd, had been shut down for month
Despite the South African parents financial woes, Jurgens has been making appearances at various caravan shows and posting on Facebook up until 13 March.
Just days before the closure of the Pakenham facility the manufacturer advertised a tour of the factory on Facebook, saying, Would you like to see how a Jurgens caravan is built before you buy? Our factory tours have re-commenced for 2019. Call now to book.
The phone lines appear to be disconnected.
Stewart and Kim Williams purchased a Jurgens caravan back in 2017 to tick off Kims bucket list following her diagnosis with dystonia, an incurable neurological movement disorder.
A few weeks into the trip their caravan fell to pieces.

Was the statement meant to be "Just heard a flash that a van company in Pakenham vic was having some issues" Easily lost in the translation.

I think the OP was just asking what is happening to AVan (AVAN what is happening) and asked for clarification. It was a question not a statement.

The latest on Jurgens Caravans in Pakenham.
Still would be helpful if the heading was changed from Avan to Jurgens.
According to the local dealer, Jurgens factory is operational again as of March 21st.
The Jurgens facebook page tends to confirm this.
Personally I hope they get over their difficulties and manage to trade out of whatever tight situation they seem to be in.
