It's ironic the 2019 V8 has started and not an actual Holden in sight, just a German claptrap with a Holden name and badge stuck on it, at there were genuine Ford's on the track.
It's a bit sad we will no longer have the old Ford v Holden rivalry.

With some Japanese Nissans there to make up the numbers.

Gday...
C'mon fellas ..... It ain't bin a contest between Broadmeadows Ford and Geelong Holden for decades
It stopped being Ford vs Holden when it became V8 Supercars - and particularly with in the introduction of the "Car of the Future" control chassis.
They're jest NASCARS now ... but Strayan NASCARS
I gave up on the 'make of car' decades ago ... now I follow the drivers - I have been a Scotty McLaughlin fan since his Volvo days, Whincup - our Lewis Hamilton, the Giz - all aggression and toughness (OH and skill ), Loundsie - but he guve it up, Davey Reynolds - given a bit of luck he will be the big improver this year.
OH, and Simona has a lot of appeal. Would like to see how she went in a DJR car or a 888 car.
Cheers - John

Exactly. The only things they have in common with the road cars are the body outline and the badge on the front.
Carbon fibre panels over a space frame and no mechanical similarity other than they have 4 wheels and a motor.
Lost interest when they went away from a modified road car.
