Hi
I received another email from the place where I have purchased some Lithium batteries some years ago. They have a stand at the Melbourne Caravan show offering advice and sales. Possibly a chance to seek them out and have a chat. There may be lots of suppliers there so go for it if money is burning a hole in your pocket. Another opinion from another source would always be good in my opinion.

After a few years attending the show, same same year after year, not going this year.
This one is better than the Sandown one later in the year, but I am over it for the moment.

Shows are good if you want to have a look at what is new on the scene, but I'd be vary wary of any advice I received there. Think about how much they had to pay for the site, are they actually there to give away free advice or to sell you something?
Be very wary of the show specials, if they can't offer a better deal when not at the show than shop else where.
As far as drop in replacement lithium batteries, I see one of those that knew everything has already destroyed one set and now has bought a second set .... what is it about doing the same thing a second time and expecting a different result? I thought it was only politicians that did that sort of thing?

Also I found AGM battery was cheaper outside the show from my local solar power dealer.
I'm sure there a great deals at the show, but I didn't find any.
Buyer beware..

as an owner of an older van, the shows don't do much for me. If I was in the market for a new one, it would be great. I might get a few ideas that I can apply to my own but that's about it. Shame really, I think most walk in with money in their pockets ready to spend on 'something' but trawling through the sale/specials you end up walking out with your money or spending on something stupid just to be able to buy something. Some of the sellers at the last one i went to had chinese made stuff that i could get online for half the price. If it was local branded stuff, than maybe.
thanks for the heads up though Jaahn
