Media crap about anything that flys has been around since I became a licenced pilot at the age of 17 when I was not allowed to drive on publuc roads.

As a pilot, I would hate to cop one through the screen. I have seen the results of a bird strike on a light plane screen and it ain't pretty. Some of these drones are quite a size and they can stay away from me thank you very much. There are some very good reasons why CASA have placed heavy restrictions on their use.

It's inevitable the drones will face stiffer regulations/tracking in the near future, all it will take is an incident resulting in loss of life then it will happen.
