It really is a magic spot up there, I had a couple of wet seasons in Broome. The best time in the Kimberley is the wet season, not many tourist and enjoyable. Gets a bit hot and sticky at times but everbody just gets on with life, just a bit slower. I learnt the mail run up that way with Cora Ewin, I reckon she is retired now. Enjoy rading your post and miss the place, must go back cheers blaze
ps
Had a 100mm of rain in an hour once, flooded the lower level of the back packers where I was duy manager. Heavest rain I have ever seen

Thanks Blaze. It is magic, we feel very lucky to be here. Yes I think Cora has retired, I have heard mention that there used to be a lady postie. I believe the current one is a chap called Neale. Heaviest rain I've ever seen was 190mm in 20 hours. Hard to imagine 100 mm in an hour.

Absolutely fascinating read (as usual) - To come across a naked "Ginger" out there would certainly be a sight.

Great update as usual Cuppa and Mrs Tea. I just love your pics, especially the red water ones and that water fall. wow!
One thing if I may. A nudity warning would be good next time
Good pic of Gordon too.

I grant you that from a another view it could have looked different Dougwe. ( A python perhaps. Ha ha ).
Anyone who followed our 'Big Trip Blog' (www.cuppa500.com/_Big_Trip/Archive.html) will likely recall a certain photo from April'09, taken out in the middle of Lake Ballard, WA, among the Gormley statues & will understand that I have a certain tasteful reputation to maintain. :)
More from the Kimberley.
Rain, red water, but still no big wet.
