That's exactly why we bought the last of the run-out model Nissan Navara D22 in 2014, it's an old fashioned truck like 4x4 ute.
No electronic stability control, ABS, lane departure warning system, reversing camera, touch screen console etc., you use the ignition key to lock & unlock it. It has 2 ash trays in the dash & 1 in every door, we don't smoke except after intercourse.
It's run like clockwork for the past 4 years & 80,000kms mainly towing our caravan. It gets washed twice a year by the dealer when it's in for a service. Love it!

Several mates keep telling me how good their fuel consumption is compared to my LC79 old 4.2 turbo diesel,,,,,, but she's been places theirs will never go lol.
Horses for courses etc etc but LWB and ladder chassis still my choice.
