Hi everyone, does anyone own or dealt with Spaceland caravans. Just looking at a 21ft near new one in Qld. Owner says had no problems with it, I've inspected it twice and cannot fault it(even did the drawer test)
Cheers Graham

Download caravan check list at Caravan Council of Australia www.caravancouncil.com.au/rv-buyers check out lemon caravans site see if any problems are systemic www.facebook.com/groups/lemoncaravansinaus/search/ I note it appears there has been a chassis recall by ACCC on some models - Do your due diligence as there is no warranty on privately sold caravans.

We have an Island Star, built by Spaceland. Now 4 yrs old.
Recently had wheel alignment done due to bad tyre wear, for a while now, and axle was not straight. Workshop said that itwas not due to bad roads, van would have been built with it.
Also over last 12mths had issue with tv. After replacing Ariel, then tech spending several hrs working on it, conversing with Spaceland electrician, we found that the Ariel cabling inside roof space was not sealed properly and connections were rusting away.
So its not just the external things to look at, heck tv signal and tyre wear can be costly repairs.
Apart from some other minor dealership issues we had, we are happy with our van, 21.5ft.
good luck

If the guy selling it says '' he's had no problems with it'' do you really believe him?
There's never been a caravan built that hasn't had some kind of flaw.
Did you ask him why he's getting rid of it?
If I had a caravan with absolutely no faults I'd be keeping it long term.
So many owners with so many caravan problems these days.

I have owned two, still got the 2003 model. I have been happy with the second one. The first was built with the axles too far back and it has over 300 kg on the ball. Every caravan repair place I have had services done at have commented on the good workmanship on the vans. If there is nothing obvious on it then go for it but check on the ball weight first.

Hi Desert Dweller, the present owners bought the van new only a couple of months ago and have had some lucriative employment opportunities offered to them in Melbourne so can't keep the van, no time to use and no where to store without costing money.
I know it's buyer beware but I also take people as I find them. They seem like a lovely couple and I have no reason to doubt what they say.
Thanks for the advice and I have taken it on board,
Cheers Graham

Hi Everyone, Just back from 10 days in our SPACELAND Sun Seeker caravan, first trip since purchase and please with everything at this point. Towed well, free camped 4 days, van park 6 days. Small problem with shower door dfficult to open and close so Chris at Ipswich RV is having a look at, otherwise satisfied with our purchase to this point. A few more trips while we gear up for the "Big Lap" and it's retirement here we come!
