What it will do.. Transcool is a personal spot cooler designed to provide personal relief by blowing cool air over the you whilst in front of the unit
I worked in the evaporative cooler design and manufacturing industry for 25 years.
Some of the best products in the world are designed and made in Australia.
I do not believe this is one of them.
Cheers,
Peter

I have been advocating for years for some ''Genius" to invent a air con system that will run on diesel, similar to the current diesel heater.
What a winner that person would be on, especially given our extreme heat when travelling around this great country in the summer months.

Terrola , the Transcool is designed and constructed in Australia, this only means maybe as little as fixing the lid on top, here in Australia.

I've seen one in use and in a dry heat it worked reasonably well, though nowhere near as good as air conditioning. In humid heat, so anywhere in the north, they would be useless and as they add water to the air would probably make you feel worse. We just have 12v Sirocco fans.

I had a chat with the guy at his stand at a caravan/camping show. There's a lot of salesmen at these events, but I have to say he won the award for rudeness and arrogance. I wouldn't buy one from him even if they worked great.

We have one, or something very, very similar (in storage under the bed), over $300 if I remember correctly
We had no ice to put in, as we were on the Nullarbor, and the 3 way fridge was playing up
We found that with water only, it was only suitable for a one person bit of breeze
There is no way it would actuallly cool the motorhome in my Avatar
I will assume that if ice is on hand, then it may be suitable for a two person, bit of breeze
I shall be on the road after Christmas, if I use it again, I shall take some notes, and report back etc
has any one used a transcool evap cooler
was wondering are they worth the money for what they do
thanks
