The picture attached is how I typed it but when submit is pressed the forum ignores my punctuation.
The punctuation works when on my computer but not on my phone or ipad.
What is happening??

Typing on the phone is painful on many levels. My computer which is older than the dinosaurs doesn't correct, no ads, no pop ups, you get far better search quality & depth & secondary topics looking for information.

As always when we post in the Travel Blog section using an already typed out word document it gets rid of all the punctuation marks except full stops when we post it.
We then have to quickly edit it & reinstate them all. This happened to us again a few days ago.
It also does weird things like inserting dozens of question marks that have to be deleted.
We use the normal Microsoft Word.

Yes I have to agree, I dislike typing on the phone.
The IPad is not too bad but the same thing is happening on it as well.
I have tried typing it in advanced editor with punctuation but to no avail.
I dont know wether it is a forum setting or an IPad IPhone setting.
I havent tried pre preparing a reply in Notes but that is a slow way to place a quick reply particularly on the phone.

The post above was typed on my IPad and when entered the punctuation on the words havent and dont lose there apostrophe.
This is not good for my OCD.

Here it is, edited from my Win10 laptop, with the aid of my 'Grammarly' checker. LOL
BTW .. I can't see the emoticons on this site. But then I can't see 'comments' on a news site that I go to either. Perhaps one of my 'settings' is the culprit, but repeated attempts to solve the mystery reveal only my lack of knowledge.

I have that problem a lot these days.

I have noticed after the last month or so that punctuation does not work when contributing to this forum.
Full stops work as do commas but that is about where it ends.
arent to be honest etc are examples.
The punctuation works when on my computer but not on my phone or ipad.
