I have been having problems, seeing Emoticons in Windows 10 Home Edition, using Firefox, on this website
All I saw was a blank box, or a gif
As I was unaware if the Emoticion was which would have made me laugh, or which would have probably made me laugh louder After reading all the post which came up with an Emoticons search, I was still none the wiser on how to get them back
I found that it was something to do with Java, which Firefox, and some other browsers have blocked due to security issues
My fix was to click on the following, inside Firefox :-
Open Menu (Three horizon strips, top right of screen)
Options
Privacy & Security
In the "Choose what to block section," I left "All Detected Trackers" ticked.
I found that the radio button was set to "Always" so I changed it to "Only in private windows"
This seems to have worked for me, as I can now see the Emoticons
If anyone is not sure what I am talking about, and wishes to see this method in pictures, just ask, and I shall put them up
Hope that this is helpful to someone

Thanks Tony, I've also been missing the emoticons, your advice has them up and about again.
