Not all Telstra agents are Boost agents according to the link in my post. You could phone them.
If you are looking to upgrade to Boost would it really matter if you did it in a Telstra shop or at a designated agent.
There is an agent listed in their search function in Grafton.
I did mine on line directly with Boost from this link.
https://boost.com.au/
This way you dont move from your favourite chair.

Not all Telstra are 100 % owned and run buy Telstra . There are lots that are privately run under licence and sell more than telstra products , So may the 100%Telstra owned may not sell boost products .

Was with Optus waiting for the NBN, a few moths ago Telstra linesmen were laying new cable in the street..... copper as it is all corroded in out area! I am now using Boost, the 28 day cycle is a bit of a racket, so it is equal to 13 months in a year. But as I am not a big user of data I am now way ahead having given up the land line which I have had for eternity. Using the computer via wifi and hotspot on the mobile has not been a problem. Actually it is way quicker than the land line. Quite a few neighbours have given up their land line for the same reasons.
Even better now as Boost have increase the data and I can drop down another level and save a few more dollars. I also just repay directly when out of credit.

Yes, that is correct. Some sell all different brands of equipment just depending on the store.
I am actually going to my local Telstra shop tomorrow on other business so if I get someone who is helpful I will aske them if they can throw anymore light on the Boost deal.

When I did my research I found there were a couple of other suppliers as well, that traded on 28 days rather than the 30 day period. All the others as far as I could see at the time were not offering the full Telstra network if they were using Telstra at all.
For what I saved on my relatively high data usage plan I really still was way in front after each month.
I have dropped a level for both my wifes phone as well as mine and now and I am happy with the extra money in my pocket.

Over the years I have gradually given up three land lines, finally giving up the last one. So it takes a bit of time for some of us rusted on old fogies to see the light!

Despite the picture that Dicko posted saying that Boost products are available in selected Telstra shops that site is just a locator of all Boost outlets. Looks like it is early days and very few Telstra shops carry Bost products. No doubt the number will increase as time goes by. The alternative is that Boost has not added the Telstra shops selling their product to the website.
I did a search for the Central Coast. The only stores listed on the map were Australia post, Woollies, Coles, Target, Kmart and BigW. If you click on the symbols near the bottom a new tab appears with a store finder for that chain. That is all except Telstra.
To find a Telstra store, go to this link. Put in a town in the centre of your area of interest. When you click on the search button you will get stores in or near that town. If you then zoom out you will see more stores in the surrounding area.
Happy hunting.

You can pretty much go to any Coles store, among other places and buy a $2 sim card for Boost. Connect online, no need to go to a Store.
Boost are amazing, excellent coverage and support.

Been a Boost customer for a couple of years and got to them the same way, bought a SIM at Kmart or Big W & did the rest via a phone call......however while chasing more data for my laptop recently did a deal with Telstra that reduced my mobile phone cost from $40 per month to $29, albeit as part of a package.....overall costs were reduced marginally but the increased data for a bit less per month made it doable & am happy so far.
A word of warning....never give Telstra access to your bank details to auto pay your accounts !!

Gday...
Puzzling advice.
Ditto me for more than 20 years ... paying direct debit from credit card for years and for last 10 years via direct debit from my savings acct.
Never a hint of a problem of any kind.

Your logic escapes me So they are thieves if you stop paying them?
I would have thought there would be very few businesses, or individuals, that would be happy if you failed to continue your financial obligations.

If you read what I said, "try stopping your auto payments', that is, you no longer want their service..... they will not respond to your request for refund of your advance payments , actually owe friends $1500. Wont pay.....but alas they are not the only big company who are thieves.

I totally agree that all is good with the big T until you tell them you are cancelling your service.
I tried to do it in the local Telstra shop but no....they would not do it and their excuses were numerous.
I then decided to do it over the phone and after getting past the robot that you need to communicate with you finally get a human.
Now this human is a well trained machine that does not understand words like cancellation and no I do not want to upgrade to a better plan, etc, etc,
His original approach was that I just let the auto payments continue and when everything was switched off the big T would give me a credit. This confused me and as I persisted to explain to him how was the big T going to credit me when I no longer have any plan or service with them.
At this point we both climbed aboard the big T merry-go-round and we road that sucker with reckless abandon until the big T representative actually realised that I was not going to accept his suggested arrangement.
Well this prompted him to put me on hold for a short time while he entered into a conflab with a colleague and upon his return he suggested that they could send me a cheque for the credit.
I then had a sudden urge come over me to inform him that what I really wanted was a final invoice emailed to me while I am on the phone and I can check it prior to hanging up. After another conflab with his boss I received the invoice and upon receipt of this document I then informed him that I was now going to the link on my Telstra dashboard and I was cancelling as of immediately their ability to extract any more of my hard earned from my bank account. At this time I informed him that according to the very first conversation with the big T, this conversation could be recorded.
As strange as it was, the original termination costs as quoted of $330.00 has, over the course of the hour I spent on the phone, amazingly reduced itself down to $126.00.
Well, now time will tell how it all works out but at the very least I have got something in writing and I am not relying on a conversation with Sandeep (yes that is his name) as to the amount of my final account.
I would like to add that it was extremely difficult for me to remain composed and polite but I got through it.
The big T wont hang up on you while you remain polite, so DO NOT terminate the conversation until you are satisfied with the projected outcome and get some sort of documented proof of the final agreement.
One other thing that I feel is important when dealing with a problem Telco is the word OMBUDSMAN. Apparently using this term is like pointing a holy cross at a vampire.
For those that have to finalise an account with the big T, I wish you good luck. It is your money, not theres.
I love it being retired as I now have the time to deal with these lifes little problems.

Try this ...

There's one at Grafton Shopping world. Perhaps more. I just typed in Grafton. Three around my Brissy home.
A search on google give you some Telstra outlets
