rec reserve is the best with water front sites right on the back lake. Its north facing so a better option than the front lake which cops the wind and is also close to shops - facilities are old but clean and adequate - its getting very popular so you'll need to book - no other park has real water front sites -
Otherwise Eastern Beach Caravan park is nice with access to the ocean just over the dunes but a bit far from shops

How, rasty.
If you head north out of town then not all that far along the road hang a right and go down to Lake Tyers Caravan Park and Camping ground. It's opposite the water Wheel Tavern that serve THE best Squid known to mankind and lady kind for that matter. Other meals are to write home about too.
Other than that I have stayed at the North Arm Caravan Park, a few times. Just down the road from the rec reserve. There is another goody opposite the Bowling Club. Also nice meals in there too. Check Wiki Camps and they will be listed there for sure with contact numbers etc. A phone call would be a must.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Since they re-modelled the one opposite the bowling club (owned by the bowling club) you'd be hard pressed to fit a 23' van on their sites. Also the van beside you is right against your awning. They have gone for maximum number of sites in the re-modelling and other than the proximity to shops this park has little to offer.

You can also check out Travel Auctions for Lakes Entrance and Lake Tyers
I find if you bid about $5 above the 50% price you normally win
Only draw back is either 10 nights or 2 by 5 nights but suits some people

+1 for the Rec Reserve, older facilities but cheaper and right on the water, good spot.

Hi Rasty.
We spent a week in Lakes in April this year.
i have Wikki, CMCA and google.
Koonwarra Family Holiday Park was our pick.
$28.00/night; 4 IMO.
The rec reserve was $25/night, only 1 ablution block and about 60 vans all packed in together.
The sites, staff and facilities were excellent
Worth a look.
Regards.
Hetho.

Recommend Eastern Beach CP. They have a variety of sized sites. Spacious sections. Some en suite sites. But do have to drive into town.

Eastern Beachwould also be my choice. Open the link and view it. Good discounts if you are a motoring organisation member (NRMA etc.)

NRMA park on the east end of town near the lake is nice particularly for bigger vans.
Big 4 in town is very tight for larger vans and squeezed in like sardines.
