is there a calculation to work out what additional weight would be applied on the TB if I add a weight back approx 1200 on the tow bar itself , some of that weight would be transferred to the front axle ? Or would it all be on the tb weight if it was less than half way back to the front axle. I guess I could just stand on the bar and weigh the extra weight on the tb weight but I dont have a tb scale

First you must calculate distance (A) from tow ball centre to first axle of caravan. Then it is basically where you put extra weight on A Frame, say two thirds of (A). then calculate centre of box (or added component).
Calculate half added weight say 100 kilo divided by two = 50kg.
Then 50 kg x 2/3A. Should be close enough.

Perhaps as a little indication of how difficult it is to calculate, my van has two water tanks forward of the dual axles.
Each are 95litre, fill the rear one (sitting just in front of the axles) with 95kg (litres) of water and it adds 5kg to the ball weight.
Fill the front tank which is about 2.5 metres behind the ball and it adds 35kg to the ball weight.
