Hi Travellers,
Having trouble with the small toggles that hold the top half of the door to the ceiling when travelling. I guess it's a common fault as it is a weak point. Any suggestions that might make it a little more secure would be appreciated.
Thanks NormJean.

When I had a Swan, although I never had an issue on the road, I always thought the little toggles were underdone. I looked into getting two stainless eye loops, mounting them with large diameter (but short) self tappers either side of the door top and using a nylon strap tie down to hold it in place.
Never got around to it and now have a van. Hope this helps.

Thanks Vince, I agree the toggles are undertone. I like your idea,or maybe a latch type cupboard catch will do it if they are flat.
Cheers Norm

Hi Norm,
If you think those are under done, don't get a Jayco pop-top! One end stays up with the clip missing what it's supposed to hold, the other end has broken (you can't get the metal clips these days) so a shoe lace does the trick!
I had no issues with my Eagle but I always made sure the HD plastic sheeting was in place & secured with the Velcro.
