Are there any legal issues or application issues in regards to having caravan windows darken by Tinting?

I would like to tint our caravan windows darker but from articles I have read there appears to be a problem having this done. Some of the comments say that it is against the law in some states others say that iy cracks or bubbles in the heat.
Love to hear others opinions or even another way of having privacy without the need to slide the blinds up and down e.
Cheers

Well, going on regs for cars, there are certainly restrictions on how dark you can go on the front and sides. It's all to do with both your ability to see out while driving and to a lesser extent so others (police) can see in.
But the side rear windows in a panel van for example? Go as dark as you like. Paint them black if you want to.
I believe the same holds true for rear side windows on a station wagon.
So, I would imagine there would be no restrictions on a caravan.
Cracking, bubbles and going purple in time are all directly related the the quality of both the film and the application. In other words, you get what you paid for.
Does that help?

There are no restrictions on caravan windows. You can travel with the curtains or blinds closed if you wish.
The restrictions only apply to the windscreen and the two front side windows of your tow vehicle due to visibility issues when driving.
