Hi everybody, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but be aware that Nastasi's in Mareeba overcharge and blame the new computer program. We were charged $7.40 for two(2) pieces of toast,$1.60 for bacon and $1.80 for an egg. This was a standard bacon and egg sandwich. All up $21.60 for 2 toasted sandwiches.

Well, that is expensive but If thats what they charge, then thats what they charge. if u did not ask what a bacon and egg sandwich would cost Before you ordered Then i guess u have to wear it. Maybe u should complain to them and not us.

Thanks for the heads up Old Bugger. $7.60 for two pieces of toast is exorbitant.

Generally they have their prices up on a board or menu on tables.
We had a similar sandwich (eat in) a while back at the new Fairfield Waters shopping centre (Townsville). The toast was very much over cooked, the bacon was very small but the egg was ok - one of the worst sandwiches we had eaten. The business has closed "due to the down turn in the city" but I wonder whether it was for the poor quality food??

Hi rocket, yes I left out we complained on the spot, we dealt with the manager and owner, the tech company was blamed. We asked the price to be reduced as this food nearly anywhere else is about a third of the price. As you said we have to wear it and I was only trying to inform people that this is an expensive place to get a snack and it's up to them to decide like you can.

Perhaps this should be reported to the Caravan Council of Australia!

Gday...
So how can they NOT refund if they have admitted their was a fault/problem with their 'new computer program' or the 'tech company'.
Something doesn't add up.
I guess if you had paid for the sangers before they were delivered you would have known the rip off - but if taken to your table and pay on leaving after eating it would have been a 'confrontation' then?
If not, then I would have walked out and left them on the counter and let them know I was questioning their heredity.
Cheers - John

There's always the Consumer Act......get a good solicitor and make a claim through the Tribunal.

I agree with the rocket - look at the menu before you order then you won't have to have a whinge to us about something that is manifestly unimportant! If I get ripped at a cafe, I just don't go back there
