Whilst reading about some of the drought stricken Farmers and their Wives I come across this. The Child Bride has filled some gift bags for the needy Ladies with some basic make up items as well.
Its hard to imagine today as we enjoy this day with our family and friends surrounded by food, love and the basic of necessities. That today, yesterday, the day before there are thousands and thousands of women without a bed to sleep in & somewhere safe to call home. Whilst this struggle is real so is the fact that these women are using wadded up toilet paper in their underwear to deal with their period. Is this ok? No way!
This is why in August you can help make a real difference to women and girls doing it tough. HOW DO YOU HELP?
Pick up a packet of pads or tampons and drop them off to one of our thousand plus collection points around Australia. And the most powerful thing you can do is to share this post to let everybody know, I don't believe that there is a woman in Australia that would not be empathetic to the fact that women have their period and no access to sanitary items. Which is your closest collection point? Find out here https://www.sharethedignity.com.au/donate-pads-tampons/

On MSN today there is a report that FINALLY the Govt are going to stop the GST on Sanitary goods.
How long before they actually do is another question entirely.
