1. some chicken chopped into chunks- I used thigh fillets......could be fresh or cooked

2. bit of bacon finely sliced - I used small packet of rashers

3. stick of celery, half onion, couple cloves of garlic......I added a bit of capsicum too

4. chicken stock (cubes, powder or liquid)

5 half cup of red lentils.....but i'll add more next time because I like them

Throw into saucepan with enough water to look like soup (as you do) and simmer till the lentils are done.

Add spoon full or two of sour cream and mix through

Serve.
