when heading north for winter I stop overnight at the GigGin rest area. North side of town past servo's, right hand side heading north. It has a 21hour limit. If you want power the show ground is great too. Easy drive from there to Rocky.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

There's also Granite Creek, about 60 km north of Gin Gin, Boyne River at Benaraby and Calliope River, about five km past Calliope. So there are plenty if you just want to meander along.

There is an abundance of free camps along the route you want to travel. In fact too many to mention here. Yes Wiki or any camp book will give you the info. We live by wiki, and at $7 to join what a great navigator to have on board.

Sorry to post late , thanks for the help.We ended up staying at Gin Gin and then the South side of Calliopie Rv, Both were great and we had great stays. Tried Tiaro south of Maryborough be we got there to late.Paid 35 in town, however it was a nice park very clean, next to a hotel on the way in. Maryborough South I think

In Maryborough you could also have gone to the low cost camp at the Airport ($10pn) or there is a free camp in a car park on fringe of CBD.
