Has anyone had a rattly fiamma awning. Ive read you can fully extend them right out and that stops it but no... still rattles. Im in a campervan so can hear it when driving. Ive been working my way through all the rattles in the van and this is the last one. I bought some thin rubber from clark rubber to perhaps find the offending spot. Any ideas?

Fiamma & Prostor awnings are pretty flimsy pieces of kit at the best of times, replace it with a sturdy rollout awning.

I don't have a Fiamma awning, a Carefree one instead, and it used to rattle. There are 2 rubber anti rattle stops between the vertical support arms and the fold-out arms and one of these was missing. Also the pivot pins in the top brackets had worn/broken and had been replaced with split pins (happened before I bought the van). I replaced the anti rattle stops and fitted new pivot pins and all is good. As an intermin measure, before fixing, I used velcro straps to tie the fold-out arms to the fixed vertical arms when on the road. It didn't solve the problem completely but did help until I could fix them. The rubber stops and pivot pins are available at caravan assessories stores. Hope this helps.

Hi Ejp. Thanks for that. Ill have good look and see if i can see anywhere that may have had rubber stops. Ive had fiammas before and they have never been as noisy as this one, so you are probably onto something.
