His bill came to $54.60, but when he counted out his change, he had just under $50.
He didnt want me to help him, God bless him, but I insisted, and in no time we had all his shopping back on the shelves.

A new twist on the 'Play It Forward' theme.
Perhaps a case of 'Play It Backwards'?
Recently I was in a supermarket check out queue & the old chook in front of me was 10c short. As she fumbled around in her purse for the missing coin, I fumbled around in my fob pocket.... she won.
Later in the day, I was at Dan Murphy's & the bill came to $20.10 so the check out chick asked me if I had a 10c coin to save her giving away her change. I suggested that she give me a 10c discount & perhaps short change the following customer by 10c. She didn't take up the offer but the guy behind me thought that it was a great joke.
Maybe I should have been quicker in the first incident & karma would have sorted it out.

Did you ask if he had a walker/scooter & offer to turbocharge it for him, along with install solar & a lithium battery?

STRUTH Bob - ya musta bin there.
He had already fitted the turbocharger but I did fit him out wif some solar and Lithium. It was very hard to convince him to forgo his AGMs.
The hardest part was fitting the WDH and convincing him to use a cheater cord to recharge the battery from the 10amp socket at the supermarket.
He had a dual-cab ute before the walker/scooter but it kept bending the chassis trying to carry the shopping.

I hope you offered a good structural engineer as a referral. His electric brakes might also need a tweak to handle the increased loadings. Wonder what salesman sold him the dual cab, knowing it would never be sufficient for the task?

And on a side note, I do hope he was fully self contained. Some of these codgers will travel about without a completely sealed grey water tank.

Yeah .. sorry ... I fergot ta tell ya ... he had a colostomy bag so he was fully self-contained.
All good. The only other problem he was parked up for the night out in the car park and refused to acknowledge the no camping signs.

And on a side note, I do hope he was fully self contained. Some of these codgers will travel about without a completely sealed grey water tank.
