Expensive to replace. After our Ranger was hit by lightning the auto electrician had to replace our instrument panel. It pulls out as one unit.
He said it cost around $1600. To fix the whole ute up cost around $15,000, covered by insurance.
After it was fixed & reprogrammed by Ford twice we traded it in as recommended by our auto electrician.
Pity the poor bugger that has it now as warning lights kept coming on & off on the instrument panel even after it was replaced.
