Hi all, I have just joined and great to see such a wide variety of topics. My wife and I are about to take off from Brissie in a couple of weeks for a while. We have been travelling for 19 years but have I just retired and looking forward to being able to stop where I want to and catching up with other like minded GN's.

Don't forget to try the two ongoing games here - 'Who is This' in the 'I Digress' section and 'Pick this Place' in the 'General' Section - a great source to find new places to visit. Sounds like you now what you are doing so enjoy out in the playground.

Yes, there are heaps of topics but there are some topics that keep turning up from time to time. No drama though as you can move along to a different topic if you want.

Thanks to all for the welcome and greetings. My wife (Lydia) is looking at our online diary and we started caravanning in February 1999, so approaching 20 years. I hope to be able to post some pics on this forum soon. We look forward to meeting up with lots of new friends out there.

And a belated welcome from me, Dave. I'm a full-time GN with a 'home base' in Brisbane but originally from Sydney. I'm in WA at the moment but expect to be back in Brissie in about four months, so maybe we'll cross paths somewhere in between. Lots of good information available here from lots of helpful members.

Hi Joe,
Thank you for the greeting. We plan to be back in Briscoe for a while about then, and most likely will be at the Thorneside Mobile Home Village, which is where we stay while there. We had an extended stay this time around (15 months) due to knee surgery which didnt go well and there was an extended recovery time. If you stay at Thorneside, we should be there.cheers
