hi guys, we have the opportunity to do the argyle diamond mine tour this weekend. This is a one off bus tour, normally it can only be done as part of a flight package. I don't seem to be able to find any reviews of the diamond Mine tour and would be grateful for your thoughts if you've done the tour. Thanks

I have been luck enough to do a personal tour of the mine and it was well worth it

i didn't mention that this would mean staying on an additional 3 nights, we're intending on travelling to Darwin taking in the national parks, back to Katherine via kakadu, then down the centre back to Adelaide, we have 7 weeks left, but as this is likely to be a one off visit I don't want to have to miss out on other stuff because we run out of time.

We did the fly in about 2 years ago. Well worth it. they have a bus which takes you around and we had lunch with the workers. It was a real insight as to how they all cope differently to the isolation etc.

Thanks for your comments guys, decided in the end to move on without doing the diamond mine tour. (shame, but hey ho there is so much to see and do, something has to give).
