I have looked at some small wood stoves to take along with our coaster. I've seen a few open fire pots and closed fire pots. Has anyone tried or used the Adventure Kings Camp Oven/Stove? I can't find any reviews apart from "Paid" Reviews for this product. Or does anyone have a better option for a small compact wood stove??
The original one is called the 'Ozpig' & is very popular apparently and is Australian. I have seen them advertised a fair bit & seen them at 4x4 shows, but really don't know how good they are or how heavy. The one you showed is a bit of a copy I think but may work just as good & may be a lot cheaper. Didn't look at the price, but found a link for you.
I like the look of the Wooshka from Bunnings. Like many, the accessories add substantially to the end price. Having said that, the optional water boiler is interesting. It's on my list to consider.

This one is home made. It dismantles & fits in a milk crate. It'll boil 8 lts of water in 10 minutes. I made the door big enough to fit a piece of bread through, for toast. I also have a grill & bbq plate to go on top.
Thanks, I've seen the Youtube clips and there are more of them but they appear to be "Paid" sponsored clips. At the bottom of those clips there are no reviews or comments on the stove. Surely someone must have brought one by now and can give a review. They are made of 1.2mm steel which is not very thick so I'm interested in how they stand up to some use. We have Agfest again in 2 weeks so I will be looking around at small wood stoves when there.

Hi have used both ozoig and 4Wd superstore so here are the main differences
Weight
Ozpig 20 kg
4WD ss. About10
Ease of use
Ozpig screw in legs take ages to fit
4Wd ss. Fold out and clip in. easy
Fire box
Ozpig good
4wd ss. Not as easy, logs have to be smaller
Lighting
Ozpig easyer as there is a grate in the base
4wd ss. Much more difficult as there is no grate for air to get under the fire. Once lit all good
Both are good we tend to move every day when we are camping os set up and pack down is priority si 4wd ss comes out on top for us but if you are taking it easy. Ozpig is fine.
Both pack into themselves for storage.
The new Wooshka loots like a hybrid of both so may have to invest in one of those too.

Cheers Pete
hope the Kings one are good, heard they are. hope so, ive ordered one , should arrive in the next couple of days
Just wondered if the chimney folds up to store in the body of the stove for storage/travel. Ditto the legs.
Not that I am an intending purchaser as we have no where to store when not in use.
And if its a really good but may not last long at the price with free P&P.
Peter
Hi Baldbug
It looks a good stove for the price.
