Does anyone know this couple or met them in your travels.
Their daughter is searching for them. She says they are grey nomads and it's nearly a year since she heard from them.
She has a page on facebook. " Have you seen my mum and stepdad"
She is getting a lot of negative comments from people who don't believe her story.
If anyone can help please head to her facebook page.

My thoughts too Jules. I have tried to share some of the post on here but it won't work for me.
Some one must know them.

I just went and had a look - not really much on there - but as someone on FB said = why aren't the police interested - even just to check renewal of registration etc., and being of a "certain age" they would most likely be on medications - surely that could be traced thru Medicare - pensions? Centrelink could help there.
I think the daughter needs to make a timeline of the last time she heard from them, what vehicle they had, caravan? Pets? Other relatives?

Have suggested that all to her Jules.
The more info she can give to grey nomads, the more likely someone might come forward.

When both me and his daughter hadn't heard from my husband for a week (unusual) the police were fantastic. They were the ones who found him. They had been checking all the remote camping areas where he had last been.

Update. They were last seen in the Darwin area about a month ago.
Mum tried to ring daughter last night. She missed the call. Tried to ring back. It rang out.
She's waiting for mum to ring again.
For everyone one on here with family back home wondering if you are ok, please make regular contact.
It's not hard to call, txt or message in some way, so this doesn't occur. It shouldn't happen.

Should send a text - texts go through when calls won't sometimes, it also amazes me that Telstra can get a text to you telling you pre paid is due to run out, but nothing else, have had texts arrive from friends 2 -3 hours after they sent them.

Good to see a happy ending to this
If as we were initially led to believe, the people in question had not been seen for nearly a year
Then I agree with Peter (Peter n Margaret), that the police should have been notified, and asked to help
This is a wake up call to us all, (hope I am not preaching to the choir), that our families do get worried when we forget to keep in touch

The Daughter on her facebook page says they went to the police about five times, and they showed very little interest, when they said they were Grey Nomads.

If this is true Jules47, (and not saying that it is not true)
But...
If every crinimal in the land, became a Grey Nomad, they would never be caught

I went to look at the page, as it intrigued me that these people have been "missing" for 12 months, and the Police are supposedly disinterested, especially funny when you consider gandk's experience and story.
Sorry, call me a cynical old b******d, but this is very fishy. There is a lot more to this than is being put forward on that page.
Perhaps they went "missing" for good reason!

The police were approached many times in that 12 month period, but didn't take daughter seriously as they "were a couple of grey nomads travelling the country"
The whole story is there for anyone to read.
