We looked at a new Fortitude 22.6Club Trax caravan today at Brisbane RV'S Burpengary.
i have not heard of them previously even though the sales person told me they have been around for some time and that the Club Trax is their most popular van.
I have trawled the internet tonight but can not find any thing reall about them
Is any member out there able to give me any feed back
Thanks

Small RV manufacturers come & go VERY often these days, you're safer purchasing from a larger, long established company.
That's not to say their RV's are inferior, it's just safer for you in the long run.
Too many broken dreams, financial loss stories around these days to risk it.

As DD said above..be very careful.
There is a Facebook site that provides a list of suspect dealers and manufacturers. I think you will find it if you google "lemon caravans"
Some manufacturers have been known to rebadge a van with a new name if it has problems so do your homework to find out the manufacturer.
I tend not to believe anything a salesman says...but that is just me.

Monti above, has given something to think about, bobcat
I am not a lawyer, but...
My gut feeling tells me that if a manufacturer is short of cash, then they may not be able to honour their warranty, due to financial restraints
Perhaps someone could tell us all if the purchaser is protected, in this sort of scenario

Sounds a bit like us back in the 70's. We owned a block of land. Put a deposit on a house to be built.
Chose all the tile, tap types, color scheme etc.etc at the builders offices.
They went into liquidation, they knew they were ''going to the wall'' when they signed us up.
We were left with a part built house & materials laying around which were vandalized over the 2 years that it took to sort out the legalities between our solicitor, the banks solicitor & their solicitor. Heart breaking.
We sold it as is & bought an established house.
Good luck, sounds like you'll need it.

Buying from a dealer does offer some protection in the event of a manufacturer going out of business, because under the Consumer Act the dealer is responsible for the warranty. The dealer would also hold any deposits paid at time of purchase. It minimizes your risk.

Vans are built under contract by Safari Caravans in Melbourne to Brisbane RV specifications. Caravan companies years ago were not doing so well, so a lot of rebadging going on. Plus Queensland RV have undergone a transition as well.
