Hi folks....we are relative newbies but are looking for a Park...preferably south NSW...a Park where we can sit outside van have a cuppa and just watch the waves come in....any suggestions please...Many Thanks to all....

http://www.shellharbourtouristpark.com.au. Rocks directly in front. We had a spot two rows back but just took our chairs over to the edge. There were beachfront sites. To the left of the pic is a sandy beach. It was a fantastic relaxing spot.
Agree witnh Rustyd Shell Harbour park is excellent and there are beach front sites and good restaurants in the area also short walk to shops.
Huskison is another great caravan park right on the beach front again with an easy walk to the shops, the local bakery does excellent vanilla slices again there are some good restaurants in the area.
Easts Beach Kiama they have 7 or 8 sites down by the beach and we have caught a few fish from the beach this is a park with heaps for kids or an ideal park for grey nomads outside holiday periods. Its about 10 minute drive to kiama and there is a club on the headland at Jerringong that does great meals at reasonable price.
Hope that helps a bit we have used each of these parks many times.

Hard to beat Mallacoota, just over the border in Vic.
Some fantastic sites right on the water, many with their own boat mooring, but dozens with excellent views of good fishing water.
But then Narooma is a favourite of mine with great views of the river mouth.
So many good ones on the south of Sydney.
We just drop in on most seaside spots as we trundle along & choose those that appeal to our taste & have beach side sites available on the day. Our touring map is full of notes on those that we visit & we have site layout maps with prefered sites marked for future reference.
We had planned to go that way again this year before the weather turns cold but a few medical issues need to be addressed first so it will probably be Darwin again & down there next year for us.

Tuross heads right on the beach theres a little lagoon jus at the back of the vans were dolphins swim past,nice walks and a couple of really nice little restraints right on the water,theres two parks one on the lake,and the one on the beach is the way to go fantastic ,but strong winds from the wrong direction can be a problem,we havent struck it yet...

Nambucca Heads NSW and a little further south, South West Rocks there's a caravan park overlooking a patrolled swiming beach. Haven't stayed at either cause we live in Nambubba Heads.
