I use sattelite dish and get the lot, not sure about local broadcasts but I think you would certainly get AFL if in a reception area...for a complete coverage throughout Australia though, sattelite is the way to go.

Hi john
If you have Foxtel at home you could take your Foxtel box with you but you would need to purchase a satelite dish and relevant bits and pieces, or you could purchase a Vast satelite system from some one like Satplus in Melbourne. If you are not familiar with the Vast system, either google for more details or ring Satplus in Melbourne and I am sure they will explain to you how it all works and what you would need, that would be my choice as they are very very helpful.
Either way, sit back and wait for a tsunami of information here, although it may end up being a bit confusing if you are not aware of the Vast system
I use the Vast satelite system but you can only get the AFL games that are on free to air
good luck
Ian
Use vast and when you register say your in Victoria. You will get Victorian news and programs

Agree, Vast is the best way to go. You can buy satellite dish and Vast box for reasonable price. SatKing are popular brand.
Just google search it you find lots of info on it all. Its a free service to hook up to.

If you have a Telstra mobile, you may have access to free streaming data for the AFL season (provided you are in mobile range)
