If you drive a landcruiser 100 / 105 series with 4.2 diesel. 1HZ & 1HD-FTE. You may have the wrong fuel filter in it . Some of the big name brands have got it wrong. Fuel filters for the 80 series LC not the best for the 100 /105 series. Go to You Tube & take a look at Berrima Diesel ( wrong diesel filters Toyota LC 100 )

Hi Burnsie16 . I reckon you ought to make it clear that those using the genuine Toyota filters do not have a problem.
I see no reference to that fact in your post. I realise this may not be intended.
Most serious owners buy their filters in a six pack and through Toyota. It works out not a lot dearer than aftermarket products.
I mean enthusiasm for aftermarket does not make it a better product.
I find that buying genuine, considering that I do the job myself, is not a high price to pay for the correct filters.
Gday...
Here'ya go Burnsie - I thought I'd bung up the actual YouTube video from Berrima Diesel.
As Dieseltojo sez - if you (or your service place) are using the genuine item then there is no problem

I take it you had a look at the you tube site . How many nomads use RYCO , REPCO & other filters to save a $ or two.
