And the 100 complaints would not be caravan park owner , Where i live someone put an application to council to build a caravan park the local protested because they beleived it atracked the worng class of people . It what they call people power .

My opinion to start closing down freecamps in Tasmania would be stupidity, the cost of ferrying caravans over there is offset by being able to freecamping .

At the core of it all is this so called "National Competition Policy".
It's just a crock of ****e like so many of those 'Commissions'.

A few Caravan parks in the Meander area, no pressure on councillors of course!
Interesting to see the outcry by local small businesses who have felt the decline in trade.
Maybe one business interest versus another....
