We have leather Club lounge seating at the back of our caravan. It looks good but it's not really comfortable. As we'll be living in our van for many years we'd like to get it looked at to see if it can be improved. Does anyone know an upholsterer in or near Hobart who may be able to help us?
looks like the whole thing needs re-shaping to get rid of the round corners. Our club lounge is square and is very comfy , by sitting back into the corner allows the legs to be put up on the seat.

The table goes down to make it into another bed but we don't need it. We like recliners but seems such a big job because there's so much underneath... Batteries gas heater hot water system plus a heap of other stuff that'd all need to be re housed. Hubby has put recliners in the last 2 vans but we both like the look of this, it's just really uncomfortable. Maybe we just need someone else to do the job for us....

Shame it's not comfy annibee cos it really does look very comfy. I would go the recliners with foot rests. I reckon a little jiggleing around with the items you mention it could work. IMO.

Yep, I too think that recliners are the go. I wish that I had them.
The displaced stuff like HWS & Batteries could go in purpose built low profile cupboards in the corners that would have the additional function as tables. Or maybe in the front boot if you have one, just watch the weight distribution whatever you do.
I do like the look of Club Lounges but Recliners are more functional IMO.
Our upholsterer is a good one but in Brisbane, just a tad far from Hobart.

Hi Anne,
We gave our L shape lounge Dining the flick.
Made the table intotri fold and purchased 2 re liner/swivel with foot rest fromEbay.
Also box in wheel arch and gained a lot more storage.
When at home for months on end ( Summer in Qld) we use the chairs in our den.
Best of luck in which ever way you may choice to go.
But comfort is a must and more so if both of you have backs
