We are thinking of going to the Big Red Bash and wondered what the Birdsville track was like and also what the Bash was like and is it worth it?

we farm sat for a family who went last year and said it was fantastic and well organised. They towed a camper trailer from Alice springs to Birdsville via the Plenty to Boulia, then Bedouri to Birdsville then home to Glenmorgan via Windorah - suspect they will be going again this year

The Birdsville Track is more like a Hi-way, the last time we travelled it with van (BT 19')sat on around 80ks
Just drive to conditions watch the flood ways and you shouldn't have a problem.
Tyre pressure 25psi all round. Road Trains run up and down it carrying cattle all the time.
