Has any one else had trouble separating the screens to access the hatch to open the Ranger Maxi Caravan RV Skylight Roof Vent Hatch . I tried emailing new age but after a week have had no reply.

Might be worth contacting Ranger direct by phone? New Age would probably refer you to them anyway, if they bother to reply to you. BTW, I suspect Ranger may have wider quality issues as their side fixed picnic tables aren't really fit for purpose either due to design faults - I have one causing problems on my Billabong van and I know of others having same experience. Many van builders fit Ranger accessories, based on price I suspect...

What issues are you having with the fold down table ?

What issues are you having with the fold down table ?
1. When unfolded it sits at a few degrees downward angle, things roll off it easily. The hinge positioning needs modifying to get it level, which I'll be doing myself rather than drag the van somewhere to get it done. Also, there's no way I'd trust the 30kg weight rating, it just doesn't look sturdy enough IMO.
2. When folded the table is an extremely tight fit and requires a lot of pressure to both press and pull back on the catches at the same time. Just a problem with my arthritic fingers. I'm thinking of fitting a pull handle.

Thanks Tony.
Haven't noticed ours as having a downward angle.
Van is only fairly new so haven't used it much at this stage.

Perhaps yours will be ok Bill, mine (on a Billabong caravan) has been like it since new 11 months ago. On the Billabong Facebook site there are many reports of similar experiences with the Ranger picnic table. However, I digress, so apologies for drifting off the OP's topic!

Problem solved the heat had fused the rubber seals between the sections a sharp knife separated them with no damage
