Most people probably already know this, but seeing as I just heard it I thought I would pass it on.
I had problems with my GPS and Dash Cam falling off during hot weather. A friend told me to put a light smear of Vaseline on the suction caps.
Six days of over 40 degrees in Tamworth and both stuck it out
Thought it was worth passing on

I got some skin cancers cut out on my face recently & the plastic surgeon told me to put Vaseline on the stitches/closed wounds. Stops the area from drying out and helps immensely with scaring apparently. It works.

Being quite serious here; The Red Cross is currently appealing for funds in order to provide Vaseline to women in Sub-Saharan Africa. Apparently there is a dire need for the gel for Dermatalogical purposes. healingproject.vaseline.us/

I ran for an athletic club in the Victorian Championships for quite a few years back in my 20's at distances between 8km & 42km (Olympic Marathon distance) as well as cross country events.
Long distance runners suffer from chaffing in many areas (due mainly to perspiration) particularly between the thighs, underarms & nipples (mine have bled a few times in marathons).
Friction between the toes in athletic shoes can be a problem too over long distances (blisters). A liberal coating of Vaseline is a great lubricant in any of those areas (reduces friction).
