Welcome to the gang Brett, enjoy here and out in the playground.
Nice looking rig you have there Brett. That big antenna brings back some great memories for me, not Ham Radio but SSB radio many moons back when RI's were around too.
Enjoy your Ham weekends.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

G'day Brett and welcome to the forum. Don't forget to try the two ongoing games here - 'Who is This' in the 'I Digress' section and 'Pick this Place' in the 'General' Section - a great source to find new places to visit. My uncle in the UK always wanted me to send a 'QSL' card from Aus - even though I didn't do ham radio myself!

We also offer you a warm welcome to the forum, I dont know if the forum will allow videos but pictures are certainly very usefull and probably the best place to put the info would be in techies corner, hope you enjoy exploring the big playground and travel safe.

Hello denmonkey, welcome. Look forward to your contributions. Enjoy.
Hi All,
my name is Brett and Im located in Newcastle NSW.
With some of the more mature fellows at work taking to caravans, I thought I'd jump in with them as well and pick up a small jayco.
She's a 94 model 14 foot discovery although insurance insists its 17ft to the draw bar. I told them it's based on space size but they said it's not.
feel free to offer comment.
Anyway, in the pic is the old delica, but I have recently changed that for a diesel pajero for towing purposes.
Much more capable.
I've also upgraded the suspension on the paj for a 2inch lift and HD shocks front and back. Happy with the change regardless of towing the van.
I must admit I probably should have spent more time looking as I think an east west bed would have suited me better for space.
Plus it would have given me the option of using the seating area for another sleeping area.
Other than serving as a 'camper' it will also be used for my weekends away for ham radio as per the pic.
I'm currently in the throws of adding an aux battery and running some additional wiring as part of the 'project'
I've also just had the axle underslung but am yet to take it on its maiden voyage and am waiting for school hols to end before it happens.
I tend to do some videos of my modifications and will add them in the appropriate sections as they come up if anyone is interested.
I did one of the undersling, so I'll stick that up after the intro...I just need to find the right section.
Since I've been visiting here for some time, it would be nice to be able to offer something back for the info I've picked up along the way.
I thought it best to do a proper introduction first before throwing up vids though.
cheers
