Yep, people can be pretty rude these days.
We were chatting recently to a couple that own a nice Bailey caravan.
They'd had it for 6 months from new.
They were sick of all the derogatory comments about it.
Such as a Jayco owning woman in a caravan park coming up to them & saying ''how come you bought that Pommie Sh*t?''
Each to their own.
Hope your Jeep goes well for you.

Speaking of Jeeps. A bloke turned up here at GreenS Lake, Nth Central VIC in shiny new Jeep and a not quite so big tinny on back. I heard his passenger (Son about 10) say"we need a bigger boat Dad". Three days later guess who got a bigger boat? A shiny Malabou never the less, niiiiice. Good adds must work.

Son in law facetimed me this morning saying he was at the tip/transfer station and there was a Jeep 12volt two seat electric kids car for $10. I told him to buy it and I would see if I could get it going. It needed the Pajero to get it so off I wandered. This arvo was babysitting for the other family so Edwin was here to help Pa. The car belongs to his cousins. Both rear wheels have their own electric motor. Battery was down to 7 volts so connected my lipo jumper and nothing. Next was to test each wheels motor and all ok. Found the problem in a Pa fixable switch. If the battery is stuffed it is only $18 for a new one. I am top of the Grandies pecking order at the moment.
Nana made us a picnic arvo tea to put in the Jeeps front boot. With Edwin on the throttle and Pa walking alongside helping with steering we went 10 meters across the lawn to our picnic spot. Then Edwin and I sat in some gentle rain and had our picnic.
The steering was extremely sensitive and tended to lock into full lock so I re arranger the geometry somewhat to make it easier to steer. Edwin pressed a couple of buttons on the steering wheel and I thought I heard some noise. Found two AA batteries and replaced them. NOW we have a broom broom machine with all the sound effects.
NOW, not much got done today on the van of setting up the tank selector electrically from my van lounge chair!!!
She's a beauty AP, love the alloys & sports bar! Now all you need to do is ditch the Jayco for a Bush Tracker.

I cannot BELIEVE the narks our there of āsomeā grey nomads . Yes there have been models or batches of vehicle with issues including caravans, motorhomes .. I guess itās because to most of us itās the big decision of our lives as in having the cash, money to buy and making the right decision . Then when some one purchases something different ?? Itās OMG what or why did you buy that !! Sheesh each to there own, discuss their decision . Itās often the first sentence to start a conversation to total stranger too . Like ā I bet you sold your house to buy that?āā .. What made you buy that ?? Yep like the conversation is going to improve from there ?? Sheesh !

Not at all surprised that many comments on here were really the beginning of the usual "appendage" swinging contest.
Agree with Aus-Kiwi. I like the bloke that approaches you to enquire something like asking your fuel economy and before you have managed to answer he has proceeded to inform you how good his vehicle economy is and how much he saved by buying the model with rubber mats over the one with carpet. And so it goes on.......
Most of us have experienced this situation and some may have even been the one with the "appendage" swinging violently in the air.

My lasting impression of a Jeep some 15 years ago was when the word Jeep was printed vertically on the rear of the vehicle. The poor guy had not a very good run with the vehicle and had spent a lot of money on it. He had purchased the vehicle new and liked it but had to spend on after warranty repairs. So, JEEP was on the rear of the vehicle as:
J
E
E
P
He got a smash repairer friend to retouch it as follows:
Just
Empty
Every
Pocket
I am sure the Jeep is different today!

Yes that's right folks " Ya seen it ere first " an Aussie/Kiwi invention. A battery powered tug ready for the big lap the deluxe model has duel lithium battery's with an option of solar panels for greater range.
This new model is enviroment friendly and a world first.
Pattern pending by AK enterprises.
PS love the pics brings a smile to the dial.
