Sure it's not just the extremely hot weather we are currently experiencing? - our one does not cool much in above 35C temps.
Good Luck.

Our Dometic fridge struggles on gas when the temperature hits 30 degrees & above.
Buy a bag of ice, place the ice in 4 separate sealable large plastic bags. Spread a bag out on each level of your fridge (shelves).
It lasts for around 5 days & brings the temperature down to the correct level. Cheap & effective.
Hopefully by then the hot spell has finished.

sounds like the same problem we had . We took it out and tipped it upside down as suggested but didn't fix it. We were told in Broome that the pipes get a sludge in them that stops the gas circulating properly. $1300 for parts plus labour and would take a week or more for the parts to arrive. The fridge was 6 yrs old and the techo in Broome said "yeh, that's about right for this to happen". So we should budget about $600 a year for fridge replacement - pathetic really
So we bought an esky and froze cooler paks in the freezer as this bit still worked until we got to Townsville. Couldn't buy a replacement fridge in Darwin without waiting weeks .
Ended up replacing the fridge in Townsville with a 240V inverter LG fridge $600 for fridge, $300 for extra battery, and $300 for an inverter - best decision.

My 3 way fridge is 12 month old now and has only been used for 2 weeks in that time.
Reading about fridges sends me in the direction of 240v inverter fridge as a replacement when mine, if ever, starts giving problems .
