Am I going completely mad ?? Surely the subtlety hasn't gone over everyone's heads.
I will attempt to explain it .... although to do so only proves that it was a hopelessly pointless funny .... as my old daddy told me once, "If a joke needs explaining, it was not a very good joke!"
The left half of the picture is of R2D2 - the robot from Star Wars ... and on the right is a grotty old, neglected rubbish bin.
It is that simple ... the visual perception is that R2D2, through what could be considered a life of drugs and alcohol, has degenerated into a poor hopeless hobo ie the rubbish bin.
