We often have a subway lunch, as an easy meal, when we are travelling. And have got a discount (10%) when we have flashed our Seniors Card.
We were at the Casino store a few days ago and were told they were not able to give us a discount. I queried this with Subway and someone from the Casino store rang me. I was told that the discount is not universal and depends on the store.
I pass this on just for information. So it may be worth checking before you order.
Cheers

Beaurepaires Tyre Services give 10% discount on tyres for Seniors Card holders. Eating junk food will give you a spare tyre, around your waste.

Just show your full deck of cards in the hope that one will work. Recently my Seniors card gave me a discount but not my Pension. That surprised me. IVe handed over my Coles card in Woolies, my Brumbys card in Bakers Delight. Called a seniors moment.

We often have subway. A foot long cut in half with seniors discount costs under $7 so very economical. However, at the NSW Caravan and Camping Show they do not offer discounts and the prices are much higher. They will rip you off given a chance (and captive customers).

Whats the point of a seniors card , I'm 62 and cant get one because I'm still working , there are many not working ( well heeled ) and they can get a seniors card ?
If your over 60 that should be it , theres plenty of unemployed people that are under sixty and needing a hand but they cant get a seniors card ? what a bunch of crock .

Depends what State you're in. You can work up to 35 hours per week & qualify for a Seniors Card in Victoria.

Wednesday at our local Foodland is a nightmare, the place is jam packed with slow moving, confused people, and the car park! a laugh a minute, it's seniors 5% discount day, and don't they love it.
Never get between an oldie and a discount.
We don't shop on Wednesdays.

My hubby was given a Seniors bus ticket when we were in Sydney 3 years ago - me for work and he being a tourist. He was 56 at the time & reckoned the grey hair prompted the seniors ticket as he doesn't have any card and didn't ask for it - only asked for a ticket to Flemington. Just shows the power of grey!
We've recently acquired the National Seniors Cards but here in WA at least it's not always accepted. But we're grateful when it is.
cheers, Kay

We've received a discount on all purchasing occasions at Beaurepaires, always after they have given us their best price. Maybe they didn't like your face?

Had the same thing happen at Subway in Emerald I asked about the seniors discount was told no they don't give it.
In Queensland you can apply for a seniors card at 60 years old whether you are working or not. I have a friend that is still working and has a senior card.
