Has anyone stayed at the Gympie caravan park? We want to leave our van and go by car to sunshine coast.

Showground is pretty good, it has a caretaker and it is very central

We use Standdown park on Radtke Rd Kia Ora is 25 mins east of Gympie just off the Tin Can Bay rd. Quiet safe park with discounts for veterans, takes all sizes of rigs.

Gympie CP gets a good write-up in WikiCamps. We have not stayed there. The Showground has a 48 hour limit on it.
We have stayed in the Wallace Motel & CP. Most sites are OK but there are some smaller ones in the old section. It's a $1 cheaper then Gympie CP and within walking distance of town (for us.)
Out on the edge of town is the Cheery Nomad CP. Looks like it is only $25 at present. Nice park but found the facilities a little light on, they need more. They are all in one rooms. They also have a $10 paddock without the use of their facilities but you are welcome to join in at the happy hour licensed bar.

Wallace CP & Cheery Nomad CP are in Maryborough not Gympie.
