So joining the "grey nomads" in Germany, we call us the "stars", I am happy that I can join for the time being here and cruising through the country with my bought campervan - my little big Kea, a Ford transit, for me alone just enough, easy to drive and to find nice spots.
So I am already 63 and tell you, I am just living my dream cruising around Australia on my own. But you outside there, somewhere on the beach, somewhere in the outback, somewhere in the mountains or just on the road - I had already so nice contacts and I find it so easy to go arround. So might be I see one or the other on remote place, somewhere out in the nature, my favourite places.
Wish you all a very good time, always enough earth beneath the tyres and a happy good mood
Welcome Safar. Good luck with your travels. Its a big country and so much to see. Have fun.

G'day Safar and welcome to the forum. Don't forget to try the two ongoing games here - 'Who is This' in the 'I Digress' section and 'Pick this Place' in the 'General' Section - a great source to find new places to visit. Enjoy your travels.

Hi Safar
Wilkommen! If you have a smart phone or tablet I'd recommend the Wiki Camps app - as well as crowd sourced information on places to camp it includes maps that can even be used offline.
Also in the Grey Nomads forum list is 'Free/BudgetCampsites Suggested by our Contributors' which has sub forums for each state and territory of Australia - which we find very useful for finding out details and recommendations of places to camp and explore.
Happy travels! Cheers, Kay & John

Hi you all,
oh thanks so much for your welcoming ...it feels great
I make so nice contacts, it is so easy with you!!!!!
So aussietraveller, hope you enjoyed the romantic road, yes we do have so much history with all the castles and little towns... you have got your history too, in another way.
And yes, I do have the wikicamps, which helps a lot to find places for the night... and with a help of the traveller guide and more important, with the help of people, I am talking to, I find so nice spots .... its just great ...
So I am still in NSW more in the countryside and I am going South, to do the coastline up to the west .. once in awhile going inland a little bit ....
So it will become a great journey and I hope one or the other I will meet on the road
All of you, nice preparing for Cristmas, and I wish you safe travells too, nice people here and there
