Not sure about other members here, but I was gob-smacked by the number of people travelling up from Port Augusta to Darwin who complained about no toilet paper in the long drops in the roadside stops (in Wikicamps). I've been carrying a roll of loo paper in my car since I've owned one. I expect these type of loos not to have paper.
As well, I was also surprised by the number of people who seem to expect free WiFi in paid van parks. I'm guessing that those parks are adding to cost of the free WiFi to the fees and we are all paying whether we use it or not. Like jumping castles for Grey Nomads.

I will assume that the people who complain about lack of toilet paper, are not really Grey Nomads
I can not comment about free WiFi, as most of my camps are in the free, or low cost donation sites
Perhaps things will change for these people in the future
To show they could overcome the lack of toilet paper, when they have a WiFi tablet thingy

Very good. I think that clip was on TV recently. Yes I think the comments on lack of loo paper were not from Grey Nomads.

City Slickers obviously. We carry a 6 pack of dunny rolls in our caravan at ALL times. Free Wifi, it's great to get AWAY from the internet & mobile phones sometimes.

Always carry a "date roll" just in case you need one.
Reminds me as a kid seeing my father race across a hay paddock . He did his business in a dry ish drain . He run and sat in trough !! He apparently used stinging nettle !! Lol

Came across this sign, in the public toilet outside the museum, at Cunderdin WA, a few months ago
Whoever is stealing this toilet paper, does so on a weekly basis, so perhaps not a Grey Nomad It also looks as though some travellers, were donating their half rolls
Wife said that there was no sign up in the ladies toilet, so it may be a man thing

Yanks used eaten corn cobs pre-toilet paper and pre-Sears catalogue.

"the plumber" comments mention corn cobs & the sears catalogue. Sears copped a lot of flack when they started to used the stiff coloured pages rather than essentially black & white newspaper.

Apologies to Macka, but my daughter's boss was buying " good coffee" for the workplace, but some workers were taking it home by the jar full. Now he provides " international roast".
A lot of the workers now take their own
